The construction market of Lviv, Lviv Region and much of Western Ukraine is growing fast. Logistics costs for delivering large volumes of building materials have become a significant part of the cost price. For several years now Roman Matys has seen key building materials players seeking to launch production in Lviv Region.
Every investor has its own needs and requirements depending on the product, so new sites have to be assessed each time. Roman Matys’s team is now working with one of the leaders of the building materials market on a number of sites in the region. Lviv is the investor’s top choice, so Roman Matys discussed the conditions the project needs with Mayor Andriy Sadovyi.
Developers and their clients should be the happiest about this: building materials plants close to the market will lower the cost of building a square metre of property. “By how much? I know, but I won’t say — it’s not my trade secret,” says Roman Matys.
