Roman Matys was a speaker at the conference “Ukraine: An Investment Haven in Times of Change”. On the panel “Building Investment Bridges Between Ukraine’s Regions and the World” he explained how Lviv Region became one of Ukraine’s strongest regional economies: how it attracted USD 650 million of foreign direct investment in such a short time, and why investors choose Lviv Region.

- find promising industries;
- identify threats and respond to them;
- work on your arguments;
- write a territorial marketing strategy;
- build a team;
- build effective communication with the investor.
Roman Matys’s team has been working on this for five years, introducing mechanisms that support communication and economic cooperation. It is critical that investors have someone to talk to locally and know they can count on help and support. Without that, hoping for a positive result is futile.
