Lviv Region is attractive to foreign companies: proximity to the EU border, developed infrastructure, available raw materials, energy resources and a skilled workforce. Although investment activity fell when the war in eastern Ukraine began, new foreign investors started coming to the region after 2016.

The figures speak for themselves: foreign direct investment was USD 28.4 million in 2015 and more than half a billion dollars by the end of 2019. These results are the work of the #investinlvivregion team led by Roman Matys. He explained how it was achieved in an interview with Orest Zub.
