More than 300 new jobs, more than EUR 45 million of investment and fully automated modern production — that is Kovalska Group’s new project in Lviv Region in a nutshell. With it the company will secure national leadership in aerated concrete and supply the market with Siltek dry building mixes. Their production is the first stage of a complex that will eventually cover 15 of the 140 hectares acquired.

When Roman Matys is asked about the secret of attracting investment effectively, he answers: do not look for investors for a project invented by “experts”. In a market economy, business decides which projects to develop, and no official or “theoretical expert” living off yet another grant is a business specialist in the market’s eyes. The only thing you can really do well is take stock of available resources and promote the results.

So the presence in Lviv Region of lime-burning capacity, a high-quality sand quarry, deposits of the best gypsum stone and developed logistics serving all of Western Ukraine and European markets convinced Kovalska Group’s owners and management that the best place for dry mixes and aerated concrete production was the village of Rozvadiv, 35 km from Lviv. It was their decision, based on data analysis and weighing business risks. That is how a market economy works.
