It is good when the year starts with good news, especially news about new investment in Roman Matys’s home town. The Sambir bakery has a new owner who plans to turn the ruins into a modern plant producing cardboard and paper packaging, aimed not only at the domestic market but also at exports to the EU, which means meeting EU standards.
More than UAH 70 million will be invested in the renovation, creating up to 200 jobs at market wages. As the project manager put it, pay will be such that there is no point in going to Poland. The #investinlvivregion team keeps working no matter what and will gladly support the project with advice.
