Roman Matys is proud that he manages not only to attract tens of millions in investment, open new plants and develop the region, but also to talk to young people regularly — not just during election campaigns, as most candidates do, but all the time. Over five years there have been more than a hundred such meetings.

It seemed everyone was tired of ZOOM, but fifty economics students of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv listened to Roman Matys from start to finish. They discussed:
- bringing the economy out of crisis;
- how plants and factories work under lockdown;
- government and investor plans during lockdown;
- the specifics of crisis management;
- Lviv Region’s investment potential.
In meetings with partners Roman Matys always stresses that Lviv Region has three advantages that make it more attractive to investors: energy resources, land and young people. The quality of the last resource depends directly on how much we invest in it now. If we make it a priority, results will come quickly. That is why a large part of Roman Matys’s work is aimed at giving graduates jobs and decent salaries.
